My Personal Journey
Attended my first Yoga class in 2007, was invited by a friend. As soon as I walked in I felt calm, relaxed and knew this is where I
belonged. I felt at home, a place where I could be myself, without judgment or criticism. It was okay to just Be me.
Ever since my first Yoga class experience, my Yoga practice blossomed. My body and mind were balanced and my perspective
of life shifted to humbleness and gratitude for everything around me.
Before I found Yoga, daily life was a challenge due to a bone deformity that resides in both feet since birth. As I developed in
years, the pain from simple tasks, such as placing my feet on the floor was painful. For the next eight years, I dived deeper into
growing my practice and noticed the healing my body was receiving. The pain lightened and my entire being was stronger and
healthier.
This inspired me to enroll in a Teacher Training in 2015 at One Yoga Planet in Florida, where I completed my 200 hr. Ashtanga
Yoga Training and 100 hr. Yoga Chikitsa (therapy) Level 1 with Manju Pattabhi Jois. In June 2025, completed and
received 300hr. Yoga Teacher Certification. I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the loving
wisdom my teachers have shared with me.
Taught my first Yoga class at One Yoga Planet and yes I was nervous being a brand new teacher, there was still so much to
learn. But a "single journey begins with the first step" and that first step led to the second, third and continued for seventeen
years into the present. Yoga has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat and inspires me
to live each moment more mindfully.
I am known for my authentic, non-judgmental teaching style and compassion centered philosophy. Making myself available to
continuous philosophical education from various spiritual disciplines. I weave thought-provoking meditations throughout my
classes, applying ancient wisdom to our contemporary western world in a useful and understandable way. I encourage growth
of the physical and spiritual self, citing the interconnectedness to each other, to the world and the universe at large.
