A Mindful Movement yoga sequence that begins standing on the mat in a comfortable position. Tuning into the present moment, gently deepening the breath and setting an Sankalpa (intention) for yoga practice. Warming up the neck, hips and shoulders, greeting the day with Surya Namaskara A (Sun Salutations), standing asanas for hip flexibility and leg strength. Closing the sequence with a supine twist, Pranayama Breathing (Alternate Nostril Breath) to calm the nervous system and balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain. Easing into a supine position for a peaceful rest, Savasana or Constructive Rest.

Yoga Blanket, Cushion or Large Towel
2 Yoga Blocks if you have them available
