Be Fiery When Needed

We often seek out yoga to find calm in our lives. For this reason, we sometimes try to avoid our fiercer emotions, believing that they will keep us from this experience of calm. But avoiding the fiery side of ourselves is denying an essential part of who we are as human beings. While we don't wish to get stuck in feelings of outrage or ferocity, these feelings serve the purpose of motivating us to right wrongs in our society, to protect those we love, and to be undeterred in pursuing our dreams.
